Due to a competition of the "Universitätsklinik für Pneumologie" the Design Compilation class at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg was asked to make some interior design suggestions for the waiting room. The aim was to make the waiting period for patients more diverting and comfortable. The original room had no daylight source, uncomfy seating furniture and a very displeasing atmosphere.
For my project I chose a lot of wooden materials, warm and natural colours, artificial illuminated windows with a fake view into a forrest and I also planned some wall openings to fill the space with some daylight of the surrounding rooms. The name Zauberwald (magical forest) combines the whole idea of being in enjoyable and natural place. My work includes a 3D animation and a modell on a scale of 1:30.
All projects were shown in a little exhibition at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg for the students and judges of the competition. Sadly, my project took only second place, so it had not been realised.
